Well, whew!

That was a wild ride. We finally paid off our debt to you guys. It was fun seeing this comic move along so quickly. I would like to thank all the people who donated and all the artists who worked on this comic. And I would really like to thank all you guy for donating and supporting the comic.

Well not moment of truth. We a burned off out extra money. Master Krakken is wait pen in hand. Next page will be posted once we meet our goal again. And again thanks so much for your support.

Breaking Promises.

Ok I need to clarify my promises a bit. I promised a 3 day turn around on the comic however there are some addendums I have to add.

1) I the 3 day system only works if the status bar is at 0 and then paid up to the donation level. For the last 3 week we have had a backlog of comic that we have been desperately trying to catch up with.

2) Master Krakken has informed me that 3 days is too fast and that 6 days is a better number. So in the future we are promising a 6 day turn around provided the status bars starts at or near 0.

Still a promise is a promise and I have send letter to all the donors asking if they want their money back. Thank for reading and for your support.

New Artist is a Comming

We are in bit of a transition here. Dazzler is leaving us to go an make his own comic. It sounds like it should be fun.

But not to fret I have located and new artist one Master Krakken, the one responsible for the artwork above. And there is some good news with this switch. Master Krakken is cheaper and faster than our old system because he draws and colors the comic himself.

Our new donation goal is now set at $90 instead of $120. This should make it easier to reach or donation goals. And once that goal is met the next page will be up in less than 3 days instead of weeks. In fact I am going to guarantee that from now on. If the page is not up within 3 day I will return everyone’s money and pay for the page myself.

Those of you familiar with some of my other projects will recognized Master Krakken from the webcomic Uesutan (www.uesutan.com). He did great work on that one and I think he will do even better work on a comic where he actually gets paid money.

Other changes you will notice is that I have brought back the shot box. I would like to hear what you have to say and you have made it perfectly clear you are not going to sign up for the forums.

We are getting a number of new wallpapers coming in this month as well. That with the lower rate and the money we have received so far means that there are going to be 4 updates in rapid succession. Twice a week if Master Krakken is to be believed.

It is shaping up to be an interesting month and I appreciate you hanging in there with us. If you have any question or comment feel free to get in contact.

Well Dazzler beat me to the punch here. So yea what he said.

Basically I put up the shoutbox to encourage community but I had the opposite effect of preventing thoughtful discussion and people getting to know one another. So it’s got to go.

Breaks Over

Well we are back in the think of things again with a very generous donation. Which should be good because the next page should be "intersting".

We need to repent

Ok it is time we made some changes around here. We have as you can tell been having some problems meeting the deadlines. That is in a word “bad”. When you the readers do something incredible and give us money that comes with an expectation of getting a comic on time. Not delivering a comic violates that trust and undermines a very important relationship between the comic and the reader.

We have now reached the point where we have to rebuild that trust. We have to prove that we can deliver.

To that end I am going to start paying for the comic in advance. We will no longer wait till the donation goal has been met before starting work on a comic. In addition you will notice that the paypal button has been disabled. From this point on no donations to Dark Reflection will be accepted until the comic has been completed and is sitting on my hard drive. From now on there will be no delay between reaching a goal and posting the comic.

I am sorry for the problems and I hope that you can begin to trust this comic and it creators again.

Ok I need you guys to settle a debate I am having. I recently got talking about the filler with a DR reader. He stated that a certain character was really hot. I disagreed with his choice. Instead of the standard monkey knife fight to settle things we decided to have a poll. So I asking you to decide which of our lovely ladies it the most lovely.

Hurry Up and Wait!

Ok. You guys love Dark Reflections. The response for the comic has been phenomial. Unfortunately the moving companies hate Dazzler. He has no furniture as of right now so even though we have made our goal for the next comic it will take a couple of day to get the comic out. A flat surface being an essential part of the drawing process.
