Well as many of you have pointed out we have been consistently missing the 6 day deadline that I set. I do always offer to return the money I technically keep the promise of 6 days if or your money back. The donors just stubbornly re-donate the money. So really blame them.
But truthfully it my fault for making a promise about things I have no control over. I don't draw the comic I can't control that side of things. The only thing I could do is find another artist to draw the page and honestly I am not going to do that. Krakken puts his heart and soul into these comic. Yes he doesn't make the deadlines but there is a good reason for that. I am not going to betray him just because he is a little behind. I know for a fact he is doing his best to get these comic in on time and that is all I can ask of him.
I suppose if this was a business I would drop an artist as soon as they missed a deadline. But I never thought of this comic or any of my comics like a business. Honestly I don't really think of them as "My" comics. We all work together on these comics. Writer, Artist, Reader we all own equal portions and all have an equal input. This is more of a family to me than a business. I want to support the readers and the artists not profit from them. After all I have not made a dime off of this comic or any of my comics to date.
This is what I love about this comic. We all communally pay for it (I donate $25 for each page myself). It belongs to us all not me or any one individual. There is no members area no restricted content we all get the same comic get to see the same pages. It it truly an open system.
So I will resend my promise of 6 days. Although that will always remain a goal. I will instead make this promise. When the goal is met I will promise a page will be posted, and it will be posted as fast as possible. A donor can all ways ask for their money back no questions asked. That is all I have control over. That is all I can do.
I appreciate your support and all your help in bringing these comic to life. I owe you more than I can express. I will do everything I can to repay you for your kindness. Except draw the comic we have been down that path and none of us want to see that again. And if I can draw it then I can promise time-lines. That is the simple truth of these things.
